Hawkenlye Mysteries
This series of murder mysteries is set in the late 1100s, in the reign of Richard the Lionheart. The action takes place mainly in England, with forays into France and, sometimes, more distant locations. At the heart of each novel is the magnificent Hawkenlye Abbey, a mixed community of nuns and monks under the rule of the formidable Abbess Helewise.
