Shannon Joy Draper was a resilient, beautiful little girl with an amazing spirit. She was affectionately known as Butterfly. Shannon was twice the recipient of The Terrific Kid Award at Ecoff Elementary School. In spite of her disabilities resulting from her illnesses, Shannon always found a way to accomplish her heart’s desires. Shannon Can Ride Her Bike is based on the true life events of Shannon Joy Draper. Even though she is now an angel in heaven, Shannon will always inspire children and adults alike to push past any challenges in life. Shannon did it her way; nevertheless, she did it! Shannon can, and so can you.
