Mercy Wasn't Lost

After a storm, Daddy took Mercy to examine the damage in the woods behind their house. They walked a long time in the woods to see lots of broken trees. Then they found a huge tree uprooted.

Daddy said, “Mercy, I think it is time to go home. Which way should we go to get there?”

Doesn’t he know how to get home, Mercy thought. Oh no, we are lost! She is sacred. Are Mercy and her daddy lost? Are they going to get back home safely? Which way should they go? There is no one else there to help them. Mercy will have to learn some important lessons today.
