Soulsongs

Soulsongs is a book of poems about the spiritual journey of the individual soul through the life of this world. It consists of 102 poems, ranging in style from short lyric poems to longer poems in free and semi-free verse, organized into 12 thematic sections representing the cycle of birth and death and ultimate liberation. Each poem stands on its own but is also thematically connected with the others in an organic whole. The book includes a 23 page introduction outlining the aesthetic principles underlying poetry, in particular its connection with music. Also available is a companion CD, Jericho Freeway, consisting of twelve original songs performed by the author on acoustic guitar and harmonica.
