The cat who ate children’s tongues

Caramel was a very, very shy boy. Each time the plump neighbor couple came over to his house for tea (unfortunately, quite often), he would run and hide behind his mother's dress or under the dining room table. His mother would beg him to come out and politely greet the couple, but Caramel never uttered a word.
